Naylor Love has a strong health and safety culture.
As far back as 1975, Naylor Love was placed first and second in the Department
of Labour endorsed national Wormald Stero Safety Awards for our John
Wickliffe House and University of Otago Science III Projects, respectively.
Over the past 15 years, Naylor Love has responded to
the rapidly changing health and safety environment, and has met the challenges
of the current health and safety legislation with a comprehensive working Health
and Safety programme. We have had an active accident and injury prevention
programme in place since 1993, and in 1995 Naylor Love was the first commercial
construction company in New Zealand to self-manage injury and rehabilitation
under the ACC-accredited employer programme.
The objective of our programme is to ensure that
everyone who enters a Naylor Love site feels safe, is not subject to the
unexpected and leaves without injury or harm.
We currently work under the ACC WSMP
Programme with tertiary accreditation. We are the only construction company
operating at this level. In addition to our own accident and injury prevention
programme, we have adopted the Sitesafe (NZ) Passport Scheme. All
personnel on our sites, except escorted guests, are required to hold passports.
In addition, all of our foreman hold Site Safe Gold Cards. |
