General Manager – Preconstruction,
Acting Regional Director – Naylor Love Dunedin Ltd
Ian has worked for Naylor Love for more than 25 years, first as a Boilermaker, then as a Quantity Surveyor, then as a Project Manager. As a Project Manager he was involved in a number of significant projects in Dunedin, including the award-winning University of Otago Information Services Building. He transferred to Auckland to oversee new-build and refurbishment projects for The Warehouse throughout the North Island as part of a The Warehouse / Naylor Love (TWNL) joint venture.
Ian was appointed as Director of Naylor Love Dunedin in 2005, a position he held until he was named General Manager – Preconstruction in June 2019. In this newly-created role he uses his considerable construction, project management, commercial and business management expertise to support Naylor Love’s pre-construction teams throughout New Zealand. Focusing particularly on complex design & build and ECI projects, Ian enjoys the challenge of getting projects up and running for the construction team.
Ian has stepped back into the Dunedin Regional Director role on an interim basis until a new Regional Director is appointed. He will maintain an overview and involvement in Group Preconstruction.
