Due to growth, we have a great opportunity for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to further support our Wellington team. We are looking for a driven person who wants to contribute to a positive health and safety culture.
Ideally, you will have at least five years’ health and safety management experience in the construction sector, where each day brings different challenges. Fundamental to the role will be your ability to work with and within our staff and subcontractor teams, understand our business and provide leadership, along with a practical and solutions-focused approach to our drive for constant improvement.
You will be self-motivated and highly organised with excellent attention to detail and your dedication to quality and outstanding interpersonal and communication skills will ensure your success in this role.
Reporting to our Regional H&S Manager, you will provide assistance to our teams with both project and resource needs. This will require well developed communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to apply these both to projects and to pre-construction requirements. A tertiary or professional qualification is a requirement, together with a good understanding of the relevant Health & Safety legislation and its application.
