The Warehouse Pah Road in Royal Oak, Auckland, is a new building on a brownfield site.
The development comprises 7,500m² of retail area and 330 car parks, with The Warehouse in the main retail area, and three tenancy areas, Warehouse Stationery, Hollywood Café and Superfruit.
The building boasts many features, including suspended post tensioned concrete slabs, architecturally-designed glazed entrance ways, and designer window louvre screens.
The site, on a busy main road through Royal Oak in Auckland, was difficult to manage while road widening works were taking place, and the Naylor Love team pulled out all the stops to keep the project on track and deliver the new store on time.
In a strong relationship going back a number of years, The Warehouse traditionally involves Naylor Love in the design process for buildability advice on their new stores all over New Zealand. On this project they were particularly impressed with the work done by our Quantity Surveying team, which delivered time and cost savings that allowed elements of extra work and enhancement to be completed within the original budget.
