Scenic Suites balcony upgrades

Our Projects & Interiors team refurbished the balconies across all three levels at Scenic Suites Queenstown. This involved removing the existing tiling, screeds and aluminium joinery to allow a new membrane system to be installed, then reinstating everything complete with a new external flashing system to ensure a durable, watertight solution.

With the exact condition of each balcony only evident once we removed the tiles, we adapted the details to suit, redesigning and procuring new flashings and fittings as we progressed. Working to a tight and immovable 10-week deadline to complete the work over the hotel’s shoulder season, we communicated early and often with our specialist subcontractors to confirm their availability, communicating any changes immediately.

We were careful to keep our operations as quiet and contained as possible to minimise disruption to the guests in neighbouring units.
