General Manager – Construction and HSE
Pete joined Naylor Love as a cadet in 1990 after serving his carpentry apprenticeship in Balclutha. He has progressed steadily through the company in a variety of roles, including Regional Operations Manager and four years as Regional Manager in Canterbury during the turbulent post-earthquake period.
Pete was a finalist in the Project Manager of the Year Awards following the successful completion of The Plaza shopping mall in Palmerston North. A number of his projects have been awarded Gold, Gold Reserve and national category wins in the Master Builders New Zealand Commercial Project Awards.
He was appointed as General Manager – Construction in late 2014, with responsibility for overseeing the project management of Naylor Love’s projects on a national basis. He added Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) to his portfolio in 2015, taking over the leadership of the Health & Safety Committee and managing the transition to the Health and Safety at Work Act.
Pete’s goal is to closely align Naylor Love’s operational and health and safety systems, bringing his passions for health, safety and quality together and applying them to projects to ensure outstanding outcomes for our customers.
