Kaikorai Valley College site visit
We welcomed a group of students from the Kaikorai Valley College Design & Visual Communication class to site for a close-up look at the re-roofing project at their school.
Before the visit, we gave them with a set of plans so they could see how the design read on paper. On site, we took the students up the scaffold so they could compare what they’d seen in the drawings to what we we’re building.
The group asked great questions and showed a genuine interest in how design decisions influence construction outcomes. It was an excellent opportunity to bring their learning to life and give them an insight into build process.
