Mana to Mahi graduation
We had the privilege of attending the Mana to Mahi graduation at Awataha Marae.
The graduation celebrated 10 graduates who have completed an intensive programme designed to build skills, confidence and employment opportunities.
It was especially rewarding to see the success of the Resource Sorter Course, an NZQA micro-credential developed by Naylor Love and Annie Day to support practical resource recovery and waste minimisation skills. As part of the programme, participants visited a Naylor Love project to look at applying their learnings to design and establish a resource sorting area at the marae using reused materials.
Congratulations to all graduates on this achievement, and thank you to Awataha Marae, Ministry of Social Development (MSD), Northern Jobs & Skills Hub and everyone involved in creating meaningful pathways into employment.
