Strengthening project benefits from ECI involvement.
We strengthened the 1950s era office and canteen block at a plastics recycling factory in Lower Hutt. Works involved upgrading the concrete foundations of the two-storey building, while inside we added substantial steel bracing elements then restored the areas to a high standard.
The project benefited from a lengthy ECI period, which allowed us to work through every aspect with the client and their team to clearly define the scope, align expectations, reduce risk and build trust. We were also able to assess the buildability of the structural design, collaboratively reworking the initial plans with the consulting engineers based on our experience on a number of similar buildings to ensure a best for project outcome.
Our team planned carefully for the extensive ground beam and structural works on the fully operational site, tightly managing access and staging to maintain safety and efficiency and minimise disruption.
