Affinity Medical Imaging fitout

We were engaged to complete a fitout for Affinity Medical Imaging at the new Southern Cross Wellington Surgical Centre. This was confirmed while we were completing the hospital base build and level 2 fitout for Southern Cross.

The 450sqm fitout over two levels offers comprehensive diagnostic imaging services, including CT, MRI, ultrasound and x-ray, plus ancillary areas for their team of radiologists and technicians.

As the contract was awarded late in the construction of the main hospital building, the new structures and services required additional coordination and careful integration with the existing structure. The fitout included the use of specialised materials such as lead linings, the installation of quench pipes, and the coordination of advanced services required for the operation of the high-tech equipment.

Smart use and careful breakdown of the programme allowed us to make significant gains in meeting key milestones. With machine delivery dates locked in, we were able to overlap and rearrange activities within both the fitout and base build programmes to complete milestones efficiently.
