Shoppers’ access maintained with shifting network of hoarded pathways.

The Fashion Pavilions is the first part of a $78m redevelopment project that Naylor Love completed at Botany Town Centre in 2019. The project is a mixture of remodelling of existing parts of the mall and a 5,000m² new build, including an H&M and 18 other fashion and food retailers. The ceilings are a feature in the shopping centre concourse, with over 100 decorative panels and three intricately detailed sky lights.

This was a challenging project in a live mall, with the team building an ever-changing network of hoarded pathways through the worksite to maintain access for shoppers.

We completed the Fashion Pavilions as three separable portions, with the H&M handed over in January and the rest of the tenancies in February. This allowed the specialist fitout teams employed by the individual retailers to get under way. Our team worked collaboratively with the fitout contractors, negotiating access, ensuring high safety standards were maintained, and coordinating deliveries.

The third part separable portion, including the common areas, landscaping and the impressive 10-metre-tall main entrance, was completed right on time for the grand opening in early May.
