Briscoe Group head office

Briscoe Group’s new 22,500m² head office on the corner of Taylors Road and Morningside Drive brings together staff from seven different Auckland offices in one place. It also includes a temporary home for the Briscoes shop located up the road, which will be converted to a Rebel Sports Store once the Briscoes is re-built.

The building is a complex mixture pre-cast and in-situ concrete on a structural steel frame with a pre-cast flat slab floor and a warm roof. The three-level structure has a car park in the basement, retail on the ground floor, and the head office on the first floor, where we also competed an extensive fit out.

The site proved to be challenging, as it was bordered by two busy main roads, an apartment block and an office block. We removed over 650 tonnes of the basalt base rock and remediated a considerable amount of contaminated soil throughout the site.

Extensive coordination and careful management of the methodology was key to the project’s success.
