A design & build project showcasing construction techniques and materials.

With business booming after the 2010-11 Canterbury earthquakes, Naylor Love Canterbury’s office was bursting at the seams. A decision was made to build a new office in Cashel Street, with the design completed in conjunction with Dalman Architecture.

The two-storey office building is set well back from the street, and features a welcoming three-dimensional splayed front walls, with the façade clad in warm timber. The interior includes cantilevered floors and exposed frames.

Our design team enjoyed flexing their creative muscles with a high quality fitout that also reflects us as a building company, with various contemporary construction techniques and materials on show and a striking rebar sculpture in reception.

The ground floor houses our board room, which opens out onto a spacious reception area and an airy full height atrium. The largely open plan upstairs office area also contains various meeting rooms and offices.

The building is adjacent to the Aotea Christchurch office in Lichfield Street, which Naylor Love completed in June 2014.
