Our fast-track refurbishment of the sixth floor of Rydges Lakeland Resort in Queenstown included a major demolition and rebuild of the bar area and bathrooms, plus a complete re-fit of the restaurant – all accomplished in a fully operational hotel.
The restaurant, now trading as Bazaar Interactive Marketplace, seats 185 customers, and the Reds Bar can accommodate 210. They both have stunning views over Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables, and share a bright, contemporary aesthetic and bespoke quality fitout.
With work continuing around hotel guests and staff, we were careful to control of noise and access to the site. And with the client and architect both based in Australia and a very tight deadline, regular and clear communication and meticulous programming was paramount.
The bar, restaurant and bathrooms were completely transformed in just 6 months, with the project coming in on time and on budget.
“The entire team at Naylor Love worked tirelessly together to ensure that the Rydges Restaurant and Bar Areas were built on time, within budget and that the clients exacting design requirements were met. Their professionalism, collaboration and co-ordination with the many trades involved in this project was exemplary which resulted in quality to finishes and attention to detail to all trades.”
