The Rutherford Clinic fitout

The Rutherford Clinic is a joint venture between private health service provider Southern Cross Hospitals and a team of endoscopic specialists. It provides a full range of endoscopic and diagnostic procedures.

The fitout contains two procedure rooms, a centralised scope cleaning room, pre-admission area, consulting rooms, recovery beds and a discharge lounge. The state-of-the-art medical facilities are balanced with a patient-centred design, with the finishes carefully chosen to provide a welcoming, relaxing atmosphere.

With the client in Auckland, the architect in Christchurch and a steady stream of design changes to contend with, regular communication was key to the success of this project. We built positive working relationships with the entire project team, including the subcontractors in the decision-making process to ensure that the ongoing changes were incorporated seamlessly.

As handover approached, our team stepped up to coordinate the specialist trades engaged by the client to ensure the clinic could open on time. Everyone involved was extremely proud of the finished product.
