University of Otago sports court & seating

Our Projects & Interiors team returned to the University of Otago campus to complete two quick-fire leisure amenity projects, a multi-use sports court and a seating area.

The outdoor sports court can be used for pickleball, volleyball, basketball and netball, with an all-weather surface and equipment for each activity. We installed floodlights so it can be used in the evening and a seating area. With no access road, we built a temporary road so we could get earthmoving equipment to the site.

We returned a couple of weeks later to build a seating area in a popular, sunlit area outside the student union that was previously lawn. We worked quickly to get the project completed over the July semester break, ensuring that the works caused minimal disruption in a busy part of the campus.
