Recycling Week partner spotlight: Expol
Polystyrene is bulky and has a habit of getting everywhere on a construction site, which is why we love EXPOL’s building site recycling scheme.
EXPOL products arrive with bags to collect the offcuts. Once the bags are full, the site arranges a collection and EXPOL takes them back to be recycled into new products.
Nationally, EXPOL recycles around 500 tonnes of polystyrene a year. That’s an enormous amount for such a lightweight material.
