Whakatupu Ā Mua update
A big well done to the latest round of tauira who have completed our Whakatupu Ā Mua | Building Futures work experience programme.
Zac (Kāpiti College), Robbie (Hutt Valley High School) and Pranshu (who had the unique opportunity to work on a site at his own school, Wellington High School), have all impressed our teams with their commitment, enthusiasm and mahi.
Over the 10-week programme, the students split their time between our trade teams and site management, gaining insight into the different pathways and opportunities available within the construction industry.
Along the way, they developed problem-solving skills, experienced the day-to-day realities of managing construction projects, and explored career options they may not have previously considered. Feedback from the students has been positive, with many keen to see even more opportunities to work alongside a wider range of subcontractors and trades.
