2025 Concrete Construction Awards
The Tauhara project team received a Commendation at the 2025 Concrete Construction Awards.
The Tauhara geothermal power station project team, Beca, Contact Energy, Naylor Love, Firth, Allied Concrete, CLL, Contech, Fuji Electric and Sumitomo Corporation, was highly commended in the Excellence in Concrete Infrastructure category.
The judges commended the project’s smart use of low-carbon concrete, including a 30% cement replacement with fly ash, and its sophisticated response to seismic and geotechnical conditions.
We were also delighted to see Envirocon nominated for the Excellence in Sustainable Concrete Award for the project stewardship scheme we partnered with them on. They kindly credited us for showing “leadership in demanding sustainable, circular solutions proves the industry is ready for change.”
And last but not least, Dominion Constructors was highly commended in the Excellence in Architectural Concrete Award for the work they did for us on the spectacular 21.7-metre-high in-situ architectural shear walls at Resido apartments.
