Whakatupu Ā Mua
An exciting milestone for us in Wellington – our first tauira has completed the Whakatupu Ā Mua programme.
This building futures programme is the vision of our very own, Tuwhakaraua Taute, who put in a mammoth amount of hard mahi to bring it to life. A partnership with local kura and educational providers, the programme reflects a commitment to providing practical, hands-on opportunities for rangatahi to explore the commercial construction industry and its pathways.
Jade has spent one day each week on site at the Wellington Town Hall over the past eight weeks, working alongside Tu as his mentor and buddy, as well as other members of the team. A huge thanks to Jimmy Walker, Victor Carroll and Luke Samuels for their support as Jade developed practical skills and gained valuable insights into various aspects of commercial construction.
