We had an epic night at the 2021 Commercial Project Awards, with 7 Gold, 1 Silver, 3 National Category, 1 Value and, for the second year in a row, the Supreme Award.
Vintage first aid kit
Our Dunedin team made an interesting discovery at the back of a cupboard last week – a Johnson’s First Aid Cabinet No. 1 that appears to date back to the 1920’s, complete with most of its contents!
PM’s visit to Manurewa High School
We were excited to show Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern around our Manurewa High School site last week. While we’ve been on site building a new classroom and library block and upgrading the pool pump room, we’ve also been working closely with the school community on a number of waste minimisation and community engagement initiatives
Innovative timber covers replace single use plastic
A joint project by Unitec, Mitre 10 MEGA and Naylor Love has been working to identify where and what types of plastic appear in building projects to design out waste where possible. The first joint initiative is purpose-made Timber Pack Covers to replace single use plastic.
Crofton Downs hard hats competition
With our Bupa Crofton Downs site a short walk from the local primary school, our site team have enjoyed getting to know the school community. Our latest initiative was a ‘Design the Hard Hat’ competition for the kids in the community.
